Is your hair ageing? How do you know? Generally as you get older hair will get thinner or finer and will be more fragile in texture. Although Alysia has beautiful shiny hair she was excited to test the Live Clean Age Resist Collection. Here are her thoughts.

I have straight, fine Asian hair. It’s actually pretty darn healthy, so healthy that I always ask my hairstylist to “damage” my hair because I can’t deal with how stick straight and soft it is. Yes, yes, I know, I shouldn’t complain because there are many girls who would kill for my hair. With all that said, my hair is pretty low maintenance, no split ends and I just coloured it several weeks ago.
I was given four products to try from Live Clean Age Resist Collection. I will give you the rundown in the order that I tried each product but first, a little bit about the collection. This line uses natural, gentle and plant based ingredients with the exclusive Thick Bond Protein ™ technology that mends hair’s lipid layer increasing fullness and improving texture. Each product is also enriched with pomegranate, goji and blueberry extracts to provide the essential nutrients to hair and boost overall health; avocado oil which absorbs into the scalp and hair shaft; and rosehip extract to provide Omega 6 & 9 to help restore shine. The formulations are made with:
- A minimum of 96% plant ingredients
- Petroleum free
- SLS / Sulfate fee / DEA free
- Paraben free / Phthalate free / Phosphate free
- Silicone free
- Dye free
- Pure Vegan
- Never tested on animals
- Enriched with Certified organic botanicals
- Biodegradable ingredients
- Recyclable packaging
Miracle Nutrition Oil can be described in one word – WOW! I applied the pink/peach coloured oil after shaking it well to the ends of my hair and left it on for 10 minutes. It was a couple of days since I washed my hair so this was the perfect opportunity to get the full effect of this product. This dual-layer pampering oil is a pre-shampoo treatment to being life back to dull hair, increase shine and causing the hair to appear thicker and fuller. I would bring this oil on a beach vacation and just leave it in my hair after a day in the sun and sand.
Live Clean Age Resist Shampoo is gentle enough to use daily and won’t strip colour treated hair. This was perfect for me because I had just coloured my hair black. I found that the shampoo did not lather up as much as other shampoos but it did clean my scalp and hair. My wet hair, although felt clean, was left crunchy (I have no other way to explain it) but before you knock the shampoo, move on to the next product…
Live Clean Resist Conditioner is also another “wow” product. Remember how I described the shampoo as leaving my hair crunchy? Well, using this conditioner that contains a new natural silicone alternative, you will get the most hydration from the combination of the two. You only need to use very little and only apply to your ends. I made the mistake of massaging it in everywhere and my roots were super hydrated that my baby hairs were sticking up all over the place. My husband even used the conditioner and made the same mistake of using too much – he realized this when his hair would not dry properly. So a little goes a long way so this conditioner should last you a long time.
Multi 10 in 1 Treatment is a multi-purpose, leave-in beauty balm formulated to penetrate the hair and will also:
- Moisturize
- Protect
- Repair
- Soften
- Increase Sheen
- Strengthen
- Repair
- Tame flyaways
- Shield against UV rays and
- Increase manageability
Apply one pump to towel-dried damp hair, and then you are good to air dry or blow dry.
All products have a light scent and with the combination of using all four, you will achieve luscious, gorgeous hair. In my opinion, my hair is pretty healthy so these products just make it super shiny and smooth. I can’t use it daily but for those who tend to have drier hair or even greasy hair after not washing for days, the shampoo and conditioner alone would be your best bet. What I love most about this collection is the sleek black packaging it comes in.
Would you give this line a try?
