If you’ll recall my previous post about the Express Canada Grand Opening at the Toronto Eaton Centre, I managed to come home with a couple of pieces.
I love that Express is kind of a one stop shop. Perfect for work, casual and evening wear. They have a lot of great accessories too! If you still haven’t picked out your holiday outfits check out the Express holiday catalog for some inspiration.
Here is one of the of pieces I picked up:
What drew me to this dress was the pattern. I liked that it had a mix of colours and that it had a bit of the “colour blocking” trend going on. I pictured myself wearing this dress alone belted (it came with a belt) for a dinner or casual party but also with a blazer for work.
The dress was slightly big on me (I got an XS) but I think it’s meant to be a looser fit. The arm holes are a bit large but wearing a camisole underneath helps solve the problem and prevents any unintentional peep shows from occuring 😉
Apologies for the pictures of me styling the dress – the lighting is poor and the camera I’m using isn’t the greatest in low light. (Plus, I have no floors – haha!)
At this time of year I’d probably be wearing tights and boots LOL but I was just experimenting with this outfit. I think I would definitely wear this out for dinner and drinks (if I drank haha) after work.
I was trying to see how casual I could make this dress and decided to throw on my boots and put a sweater and belt over top.
There is also an Express Win Your Wishlist Pinterest contest happening now where you can win a $500 Express Canada gift card! How do you enter? All you have to do is check out the Express gift guide or the Express Holiday Boards and pin items that you love! So simple! The contest runs until December 14, 2012.
Good luck!! AND if you win perhaps you’d like to treat your favourite blogger to an item or two? 😉
