Guess what? I was honoured to be featured on iVillage.ca’s article “8 Canadian Beauty Bloggers to Know“! I’m so excited to be included with such a great bunch of ladies.
In hindsight while answering these questions I should have expanded a little more LOL! But please forgive me, I’m not used to being “interviewed” I’m used to being the interviewer!
So since I didn’t expand there, I’ll expand a little here 😉
Famous person whose make-up you admire?
I picked Emma Stone because I have never seen her look bad. I feel like she is not a “traditional” beauty but she can make so many looks work for her from rocker chic to classic and elegant. I admire that she’s willing to take risks with her makeup without going over the top. Somehow she just always looks fantastic.
Answer this: I could not leave my house without applying ___?
To those that know me in real life it should be no secret that I love mineral powder foundation. When hurrying in the morning it takes only a few seconds to apply and it does wonders to cover all my imperfections!
Beauty trend you adore?
I’m still in love with the bold lips trend. I think for a really long time I was obsessed with the smokey eye but I just love the look of a clean bright eye set off against a bright lip! I’m looking foward to seeing this trend translate to fall with deeper berry and burgandy hues!
Beauty trend you abhor?
I’m not sure why but I just don’t like the look of nail jewellery. Nail art I can appreciate, but adding jewels and bling to your nails just seems strange!
What beauty tip would you give your high school self?
Less is more – a classic sentiment and one that is probably harder to follow as a kid since you’re just getting into beauty and experimenting. I didn’t go ‘crazy’ with makeup but I do recall going heavy on both the eyes and the lips. I’m just glad I never got into that dark lip liner nude lipstick thing. WRONG!
Number of lipsticks in your purse right now?
4 – pretty tame for a beauty blogger right? I have a lip 2 cheek colour from RMS (illusive), an Avon lipstick (plum gorgeous), MAC lipstick (Brave) and L’Oreal Caress (Cherry Tulle)
So there you have it! I hope you’ll check out the feature and learn a bit more about the other fantastic ladies mentioned! It was such an honour to be chosen by iVillage.ca; I’d like to thank them for the opportunity and thanks so much for all YOUR support; it makes me giddy to think how far this little blog has come 🙂
