Recently, I was having some skin flare-ups and I was looking for a way to cover AND treat the issue. I came across this little gem in the Wal-Mart pharmacy area and knew I had to try it. I’m very thankful that I did, because this little tube packs quite a big punch!

Product: ClearasilSkin-Tone Acne Treatment Cream
Cost: $5.99 (CAN)
What It Claims: “…conceals pimples while it dries and heals, provides instant coverage”
Active Ingredients: Sulpher 8%
First Impressions: Would the colour match my pale skin-tone?
Review: I liked the product, to be honest. The colour matched enough that I could wear it without concealer or foundation overtop. I found tapping it on worked better than blending it with your fingertip or makeup brush.
The tube is teeny-tiny. Barely the length of a finger.
The product has a ‘sulpher’ based smell (obviously, since sulpher is a main ingredient), and it dries / hardens almost immediately. It reminds me very much of the ProActive spot treatment. After wearing it all day, it didn’t budge, and I found it working to lessen the blemishes on my skin. After a day, the blemishes were less noticeable and slightly reduced. The consistency is pretty thick – thicker than cream even. You won’t need a lot to get the maximum use.
This is what the product looks like. It’s got a thicker consistency.
If the colouring doesn’t match your skin tone, you could always use this product overnight. Just tab it on your skin, and wash it off in the morning.
Verdict: I liked the product – I think I lucked out in terms of it matching my skin tone. I think it works very well on minimizing the appearance of current skin imperfections, and works well enough on the ones coming to the surface. I definietley think it worked better than some of the other products I’ve spontaneously purchased at the pharmacy.
