With mark. that is!! Now I’m not much of a traveller – not because I don’t WANT to travel but it’s partly due to lack of funds, lack of time and my need to make sure I’m not going to hate the place I’m visiting LOL! Nothing is worse than having a bad vacation am I right?
The new Ibiza collection by mark intrigued me and when I googled Ibiza Spain I quickly found out it was named “undisputed party capital of the world“. So…Ibiza is definitely NOT for me :P.
There are a few items I tried from the Limited Edition Ibiza set:
mark Ibiza Sol Instant Vacation Fragrance
I usually like mark Fragrances but I have to admit, this one gave me a headache 🙁 It sounded promising – “notes of honeysuckle, pear, white geranium and musk” but every time a take a whiff I feel a tinge of a headache coming on.
Ibiza Sol marbleized eye shadow stick in Aqua Deep
^close up of the marbleized stick^
Swatches from different areas of the stick
I blended this stick all over my lid then used a darker shadow in my crease and in the outer corner.
This shadow stick surprisingly didn’t crease on me. Although, note that I DID use an eye primer.
mark Ibiza Sol marbleized lip gloss in chica coral
^it looks kind of peachy on my hand^
This is how it looked on my lips – weird huh?
My lips are pretty pink on their own though, so this could be the reason for the colour looking so different. Either way, I really like this gloss. I’ve actually been wearing it everyday on its own or layered over a soft pink lipstick.
mark. glowdacious illuminating powder in shimmied up
Here’s the brush that it comes with.
I never use these brushes. I find they pick up too much powder and kind of “cut” the pan and they don’t distribute the colour properly onto my cheeks. I just opted for my regular blush brush for application.
Swatches of the three colours individually
All blended together – not sure if you can make it out but there is a subtle shimmery “glow”
Here’s the colour on my cheeks
I actually liked how this turned out. I’m not really a bronzer type of girl, but this one I liked. At first I was worried that it would be too shimmery for me, but I was pleasantly surprised.
