{Redken triple Take 32 vs L’Oréal Infinium Hairsprays}
Over the past months or so I’ve been putting 2 professional salon sprays to the test on both myself and my clients. Both the Redken triple Take 32 and L’Oréal Infinium are salon quality extreme hold hairsprays and both provide a long lasting hold to any look.
Here’s the breakdown of each hairspray:
Redken Triple Take 32
Pros:
- Provided excellent hold
- Was easy to brush out (it initially feels crunchy when you first spray it onto the hair, but this goes away!)
- Hair does not stay crunchy and feels soft
- Does not leave a residue
Cons:
- The scent is quite strong and sticks with you all day
L’Oréal Infinium
Pros:
- Provides great hold
- Doesn’t feel sticky or tacky
- Even after using it a few days in a row I was able to brush it out easily
- No white residue (even on my dark raven black hair!)
- Scent is nice and doesn’t stick around all day
Cons:
- None that I could think of!
In summary while I do like the Redken Triple Take 32 hairspray and I’m generally a huge fan of Redken products in general, I wouldn’t think to repurchase this product due to the strong and lingering scent. I always like to keep my bridal clients in mind when stalking my kit and many can be sensitive to smells. If you like stronger scents then this hairspray is definitely one to consider. For me personally, the overall winner was the L’Oréal Infinium hairspray; it did what it was supposed to do, was great for both everyday and special event use and the scent wasn’t overpowering. It got an A+ in my books!
Have you tried either of these hairsprays before? I’d love to know what you look for in a hairspray. Let me know in the comments below!
