{Travel Essential: Croc Plug Flat Mini Iron}
Traveling has always been stressful for me. No wait, let me correct that – packing has always been stressful for me. Whether it’s a week-long trip abroad or a quick weekend away, I can’t manage to pair my stuff down quite enough. Over the years, I have gotten a bit better.
My job requires me to go on short trips, so there’s no point in checking a bag. When all you have is a carry-on, you have to find creative ways to pack all of your essentials. It’s an ongoing project for me to figure out ways to pack light.
Definition of ‘Essentials’
Now, your definition of ‘essentials’ may be different from mine, but I always bring a hair straightener with me. Curly hair can be so unpredictable that I like to have the option to straighten when I’m away on business. Bringing hair tools with my makeup kit can make my carry-on pretty full before I get a chance to pack my clothes.
Croc Plug Flat Mini Iron
I was excited to try the Croc Plug Flat Mini Iron from Trade Secrets; it’s so small it could fit into a clutch! The floating 1/2” plates are perfect to get those short hairs and they’re round, so you can use the iron to create curls, too.
Pros:
- Heats up to 410F
- Ceramic coated plates
- Weighs only 3 ounces
- Detachable cord
- Dual voltage
- Lock/unlock switch for easy storage
Cons:
I wish that there was a temperature dial since I usually heat my iron to 350 to reduce the amount of heat damage I inflict. The plates also get so hot that I can’t touch them, so I need to adjust my hands when I use it.
Having said that, overall the Croc Plug Flat Mini Iron is a great tool for travel when you need to keep your luggage to a minimum. How do you pack lightly?
