I absolutely love this time of year. Yes it’s cold and yes you have to bundle up but you cannot deny how pretty everything looks and I always look forward to spending time with my loved ones.
Today is a jam packed day for many – not just because it’s Black Friday but The Toronto Eaton Centre goes all out for the holidays including the 50 foot Christmas tree and 6 giant LED reindeer!
Here’s what else you can expect if you’re in the area of The Eaton Centre.
Santa’s Log Cabin: families will be able to get one on one access to the man of the season! Drop in for a visit with Santa during “community Fridays” (November 29th, December 6th, December 20th) or book a pre-registered visit starting Sunday December 1st with visits running every Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4pm.
Of course if Black Friday is your thing The Eaton Centre will be open at 6am and closing at 9:30am. For those crazy people that are REALLY into it, get there early and the first 100 shoppers to arrive at Guest Services (Level 2) will receive a $10 Cadillac Fairview SHOP! CARD®. Personally, I’m not sure that would be worth it for me – ha!
Are you terrible at gift wrapping? I know I am! I’m so in awe of my friends that can always make everything look so pretty! I’d argue it’s better than the gift itself! The Toronto Eaton Centre is presenting a Gift Wrap Valet presented by The Toronto Sun in support of the Toronto Humane Society. All you do is drop off your purchased items at one of the gift wrap kiosks (Level 1 next to Dundas subway entrance / Urban Eatery) and in an hour your gifts are ready and wrapped for FREE!
I admit, I try to get my shopping done online or early but I love to visit malls just to see the hustle and bustle of everyone and all the pretty decorations. You can actually ENJOY being in a mall at this time of year if you don’t actually have any pressure to buy anything!
Will you be checking out The Eaton Centre or any other mall at this time of year or do you prefer to stay away? I’m always interested in seeing how many people actually shop at the mall still versus online!
