With many products and tools out there it can be hard to sort through it all. In this post’s beauty battle, I test out two brushes to see which one is better. The Wet Brush vs Tangle Teezer.
You might recall that Alysia reviewed the Tangle Teezer and she loved it! I normally do not review brushes since I have curly hair. Curly hair girls will know that you DO NOT brush or comb out your curls unless of course you’re about to wash it. For those of you that don’t have curly hair – here’s why:
From defined curls to pure frizz!!! Since I don’t normally brush my hair I wanted to be sure to test both these brushes out for while on both wet and dry hair so I could really figure out which one I liked best.
The Original Tangle Teezer ($14.99)
Pros:
- Flexible bristles to prevent breakage and damage
- Can be used on wet or dry hair
- Bristles are of different heights which helps to detangle hair with ease
- Feels great on the scalp
- Removed tangles and knots easily
Cons:
- Took some getting used to the size and shape
- Difficult to brush hair from roots to tips in one motion (I have pretty long hair)
The Wet Brush ($15.95)
Pros:
- Flexible bristles to prevent breakage and damage
- Can be used on wet or dry hair
- Handle on the brush made it easy to reach from scalp to ends of hair
Cons:
- Bristles are generally the same height throughout making de-tangling slightly less easier
- Didn’t feel like it reached my scalp
Beauty Battle Victor?
The Original Tangle Teezer for the win!
The Original Tangle Teezer edges out The Wet Brush since I really enjoy a good scalp massage and if I’m going to spend the time to brush my hair then I want to make sure my scalp feels good too!
