Interested candidates must show the Institute why they are ‘Born to Style’ through a video submission showcasing their unique talent, skills and passion for all things hairstyling. From these submissions, six finalists will be chosen to showcase their skills in front of a star-studded judging panel that includes Mr. Ray Civello, the President and CEO of the Aveda Institute himself. After meeting him at last year’s ‘Born to Style’ event, I can vouch that Mr. Civello is a generous man who has a knack for picking out special and unique talent!
I went to the ‘Born to Style’ 2012 Scholarship Competition last year, and I must say the competition and the styling is fierce. If you’re up for it, I think it’s definitely a must-do!
Submissions close March 1st, 2013, with the final runway showcase held in May 2013.
