I have nothing against bees – now I do admit I cringe for fear they will sting me while I’m trying to enjoy the outdoors but generally they mind their business. PLUS they are responsible for honey which I’m a huge fan of 🙂
Honey seems to be the buzz word in beauty products these days. But at LUSH honey has been a key ingredient in some of their best selling products!
On Saturday August 17th 180 North American LUSH stores will be hosting in-store educational activities to honour the honey bee! They will be teaming up with HoneyLove to help save nature’s hardest little workers.
Honey is known for its moisturizing and antiseptic ingredients. Here are few honey based products available at LUSH:
Honey in your shampoo will moisturize and give your hair shine and lustre. Can you believe that over half this shampoo is Fair Trade honey? Since there is so much honey in this product it is also preservative free!
Honey and Moroccan Rhassoul mud are the key ingredients in this toffee-scented bath bomb. You will feel cleansed, your skin will feel soft and there is also aloe vera added to calm the skin too!
Honey is the moisturizing ingredient in this lip balm but it will be hard not to eat it all off since it containts sweet orange, peppermint and white chocolate too!
Another toffee smelling product this shower gel will soothe the skin with honey and refresh your senses with sweet orange and bergamot oils!
Now this little guy is so cute and perfect for gift giving. It contains a slab of “Honey I Washed the Kids” soap and the Honey Bee Bath Bomb.
Even if you can’t visit a LUSH store tomorrow you can still get in on the fun! If you’re on Instagram or Twitter snap a photo of how bees have an impact on your life (honey on toast? Beautiful pollinated flowers? Cute kids or pets in a bee costume?) and tag it with @iheartbees (Twitter) or @honeyloveorg (Instagram) and @lushcosmetics, along with the hashtag #yaybees.
