I’m currently in week 3! In case you’re not following I’m doing a Bridal Cleanse courtesy of Jen Newell ND and Blush Pretty. Here are my previous posts from week 1 and week 2.
To be honest I haven’t made a lot of progress in week 3. I’m still in the previous phase of avoiding dairy, gluten and anything processed; still enjoying my smoothies and quinoa! I did avoid meat and soy for the most part but occasionally I had a piece of salmon. I was supposed to be in the last part of the cleanse where I’m only having smoothies, juices and soups but this past weekend was really busy so I didn’t get a chance to grocery shop or plan. Jen it was ok to shift the cleanse for a bit so I will start the last phase this weekend. The other ladies on the cleanse (Naomi, Laura and Arianne) have been doing amazing and have been seeing and feeling the results. I sadly can’t say that I have. BUT I do have other health issues (sleep being my major one) so I’m pretty sure that my underlying issues are what I need to get a handle on before I will see major results through better eating.
That’s not to say that I’m not witnessing other positive changes. I love knowing what I should not eat (the list really isn’t that long, and most of it is common sense!) but also easy to prepare, healthy and great tasting foods that are making my life easier – kind of takes the guess work out of it for me! And less stress about what to prepare each night is a definite plus in my books! I’ll keep you updated on how I feel after the liquid part of the cleanse and I’m probably going to ask Jen if I can continue to work with her to find a cleanse or menu plan suited to my personal needs 🙂
Stay tuned!!!
And remember, if you’re on twitter you can follow my cleanse journey (along with the other ladies participating) by searching #BridalCleanse.
If you’ve tried a cleanse did you see any significant results? Most people do so I feel a bit left out LOL! Please share in the comments!
