Oh these crazy snow days. While part of me misses having a regular routine I absolutely DO NOT miss the commute. Driving in the crazy slippery weather can be so hazardous! I feel absolutely blessed that I can choose to stay home during snow days. One of the perks of working at home is doing some research with one of my favourite magazines and a warm cup of coffee.
Categories include makeup, hair, face, body, nails and fragrance. New sub-categories added were BB creams and dry shampoos.
I asked Lesa how long it takes for a new product to become “mainstream” and she said it depends on the type of product. There is always a trickle down effect and she notices that the speed at which trends in beauty catch on depend on how they’ve been presented (for example, celebrities showing off nail art) and also how quickly the bigger brands react to the trends to make the products more attainable.
Another unexpected winner was in the Batiste for the dry shampoo category. Although it’s been around since the 70’s this UK brand has plenty of mass competition so it was surprising to see it come out on top.
