So…I attended a couple days of fashion week this week and while I do the same for every fashion week I usually stay for only a 1 – 2 hours. Since I don’t have a “9 – 5” anymore I decided to still attend for a couple days but longer days.
Let me tell you – I do NOT know how people do the whole week. I’m so exhausted. I didn’t even have time to finalize a post for today so I will just leave you with some highlights from my instagram feed.
This was a “back to the 90’s rusty/brown/nude” look that Grace Lee for Maybelline Canada did for the Triarchy show.
Sneak peak of the new Maybelline Colour Elixir – a lipstick, gloss and balm in one. Check out the pigment!
The energy backstage is incredible. I love seeing the Redken Canada team led by Jorge Joao in action. Team work at its best!
Had the chance to check out the Maison Matthew Gallagher show. The clothes were BEAUTIFUL! Not necessarily all wearable but the construction of the clothes was so amazing. I didn’t get any nice pictures but I will find some and chat about the collection in a future post.
Man of the night – Joe Mimran for Joe Fresh. The back stage area got INSANE when he was present.
Stacey McKenzie is just so nice – she let me snap a photo with her again backstage! I know she doesn’t remember me but it would be cool if I could make this a tradition. (ha!)
Super easy makeup for the Joe Fresh show by Grace Lee for Maybelline. As I mentioned it was INSANE backstage. Sorry I couldn’t get a sharper photo. Shortly after this I was bumped in the head by a TV camera behind me so I quickly moved to a safer zone!
Yesterday I was hanging out with two of my favourite beauty bloggers Rica of The Office Chic and Ella Pretty Blog in the Maybelline / Redken lounge.
The gorgeous Jessica of Beautezine getting her makeup done with Grace Lee for Maybelline and Jorg Joao for Redken. And her after look head to toe Target Canada!
Here is the look for the Target Canada show – it was all about bronzed and nude colours. No liner just really fresh and clean.
The Target Canada show was awesome! It was holiday themed as opposed to Spring themed like all the other shows. We were gifted with presents and throws and pillows! And there was snow too! It was hard to get pictures of the show but I’ll find some and share. The music was so fun everyone was in a great mood!
Lisamarie of Beauty Crazed and I were getting snuggly under the throw!
The look for the Soia&Kyo show was about extreme side parts and pulled back hair + “creamy, buttery” skin – kind of like the leather of Soia&Kyo jackets!
I was super blessed to have front row seats to the Soia&Kyo show! Here is one of the looks I snapped – loved this classic trench. I think the slimmer less flared out shape makes it very modern.
Well those are my whirlwind highlights from the past two days – I hope you enjoy! I’ll try to recap in more details over the next few weeks.
Have a great weekend!
