I have most definitely heard of Korres but sadly have never tried any of their products! Hey, yes I’m a beauty product junkie but I fully admit I have not tried even close to everything out there!
So what is so special about Korres Canada anyway? Founded in Athens Greece by George Korres where he started his journey from the first homeopathic pharmacy in Greece, the Korres line is known for products with natural formulations that actually work! You can learn a little more about the Korres journey in the video below.

I was able to try out four of Korres Canada’s popular products.
Basil Lemon Body Butter
This stuff smells sooo good! It’s fresh and zesty, and reminds me of summer. A definite pick me up now that Winter has finally made it’s way to Toronto! When I first tried it out I thought it felt a little greasy and thought that I should probably only use it at night but after a few minutes the greasy feeling was gone and my dry hands were nice and moisturized. This product contains almond oil and avocado oil so this may not be suitable for those with nut allergies.
Wild Rose Face and Eye Serum Brightening and Smoothing Line
This product contains a concentrated vitamin C (from Wild Rose oil)and is a serum meant to brighten and smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The texture of this product is really light and it absorbs really nicely into my skin. There is a definite fragrance so those with sensitivities may want to test this out first. As for the brightening and smoothing aspect – I haven’t used it long enough to say.
Quercetin & Oak Antiaging, Antiwrinkle Eye cream and Night cream
This line was inspired by a NOBEL awarded discovery on cell aging using 2 of natures most powerful antiaging agents – Quercetin & Oak found to be a natural alternative for Retinol! The eye cream is very lightweight and goes on nice and smoothly. The night cream is really thick. It’s almost like a whipped body butter. To be honest I was really hesitant to put this on as I HATE when my face feels greasy and also I’m afraid of breaking out. I decided to be brave and give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t greasy at all! My skin just drank it up. The next morning my skin really felt soft and smooth, and even some dry patches that I have was minimized!
One aspect of the Korres products that really stood out for me was the fact that they listed the percentage of natural ingredients each product contained right on the box. It also listed what was not in it (example, no mineral oils or parabens) but unlike many other brands it listed was it DID contain (example fragrance, nut ingredients) and also listed if the product was suitable for vegetarians and vegans! I thought this was really helpful for those looking for products suiting their lifestyle.
I have to say, Korres has impressed me! I’m looking forward to trying out more of their products soon.
