This is one of my favorite skirts now. I was able to score it from Ann Taylor Factory during my trip to Florida and I had seen on many of my blogger friends such as Petite Little Girl (if others have this, please let me know so I can link to you!). Here’s how it looks on me:
Skirt: Ann Taylor Factory Lace Crochet Skirt 0P
Top: Ann Taylor 00P (purchased through Extra Petite)
Shoes: Nine West size 7
Yet again I saw this top on many blogger friends (Alterations Needed, Petite Little Girl, Really Petite – again let me know if you have this top; send me the link so I can link to you!)
Now that I’m looking at these pictures I’m thinking I should have worn a belt on top of the skirt for some added interest. Next time!

I absolutely love this skirt. It makes me feel very feminine and I like the length just above the knees – I think it’s still very professional and work appropriate. I’d like to see if I can make it look more casual as well and get more use out of it!
“Changing it up” with a sitting pose
Also I do sit tests in change rooms to make sure the skirt isn’t too tight or too short.
I really love this blouse too. I have issues with anything button down because they usually have seams at the bust and do not fit me correctly and I don’t like the gaps that inevitably occur when you move around. This blouse is perfect, it actually has two panels at the front that overlap to prevent this gaping which I love. And of course the detail of the neck tie.
Me attempting and failing at a walking post à la Cee
Do you wear lace/crochet pieces to work? Any ideas on how I could make it more casual to wear on the weekends?

@AubreyOhDang! Thanks Aubrey! From you this means A LOT!!!
@KatOMG thank you for the ideas! I’m not sure I could getaway with a total 80’s look but i love the idea of pairing it with a really casual shirt! Thanks!
This is a perfect summer work outfit Elaine! That skirt looks fantastic on you, and the cut is classic enough that you could probably wear it for years. For a more casual vibe I’d try an oversized tee knotted in an 80s-style way (in the orange-peach-coral colour range), with booties and long layered necklaces. And I’d hike up the skirt a little if it didn’t look too bunchy until the tee. (If you can’t tell I’m envious of the skirt and letting my imagination run wild on how else I’d style it!) – Kat

Nice skirt! I really like how it works with the blouse. As for tips to make the blouse more casual for weekends, I’d pair it with cropped pants and sandals.
The skirt looks so pretty on you!
Thank you for linking me, Elaine. We’re twins because I have the exact same blouse and skirt :)The skirt looks way better on you than on me. I’m debating on slimming this skirt a bit.
