I’m so excited to be working on another #LovePrettyXLOFT post with my friend Zeba of Ella Pretty Blog and of course LOFT. When I attended the LOFT Fall Preview about a month ago this LOFT mustard dress stood out for me, but I wasn’t sure if I could pull the mustard trend off. Luckily, when I tried the dress on I was so excited as it’s become one of my favourite dresses to wear!
LOFT Tiny Floral Piped Shirtdress – Petites
Since we’re still enjoying the last days of summer I decided to style the dress really casually with pops of pink to compliment the mustard hue. Traditionally I think mustard is a great fall colour – but I actually think it can look bright and sunny in the warmer months too.
I love the delicate print of the dress which adds some interest and pretty details. I chose to switch out the black sash that came with the dress with a gold belt just to soften the look up a bit and so that I could keep the waist cinched in all day.
I love the hem of this dress – it’s really like a dress shirt! I personally think this dress is too short and a bit thin to wear for work but perhaps with thicker tights it could work. I’m actually wearing a pair of yoga shorts under for my own personal comfort 😉
The lightweight material of this dress is also perfect for transitioning from summer to fall – cool enough to beat the summer heat and thin enough to layer for chillier nights.
Be sure to check out Zeba’s post and see how she styled this dress for cooler days to come!
Do you think you’ll try the mustard trend? How would you style this LOFT mustard dress?
