Last weekend I was excited to be able to check out the annual Luminato event in Toronto and to have an one-on-one expert beauty consultation courtesy of L’Oreal Paris.
I had just stepped off a plane the night before and to be honest I was thinking about cancelling, but I just couldn’t pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity to have my hair done by L’Oreal’s Official Hair Artist and Colourist, Eric Del Monaco and my makeup done by the Official Make-up Artist for L’Oréal Paris, Eddie Malter…and seriously I’m sooo glad I went!
Since it was so last minute I went by myself when normally I would recruit a friend to go with me. Sometimes I get intimidated at events since I’m just a normal person…! But Margaret of Cowen and Company who emailed me the invite was so welcoming and made me feel right at home!
I was early for my appointment (LOL – I’m usually always early – I don’t know the meaning of “fashionably” late) so I sat in the waiting area where I got to observe a whole bunch of other beautiful ladies getting all glammed up.
I asked this gorgeous girl who just had her hair and makeup done if I could snap her photo and she graciously obliged!
After seeing Alisha and Tess, I was so excited when my turn finally came! Here is the only “before” shot I got of myself – and quite unflattering I might add as Eddie and I were in the midst of some serious talks 😉
I was next to get my hair done but Tess had to leave so I made sure to get a picture with her too!
Eric asked me if he could do an updo and I’m all game when it comes to anything hair and makeup – it was Eric Del Monaco – short of shaving my head I think I would have let him do ANYTHING to my hair! 😛 He said he was really excited to try out the New Silk & Gloss Curling Spritz on me since I was the only one so far to come see him with naturally curly hair in it’s natural state.
I loved the height Eric was giving me – helped to minimize my “five-head” (get it, my forehead is large so it’s a five-head…yes I know, I’m not a comedian)!
I also just HAD to take a picture with the lovely Margaret who was such a great host and who I am grateful to for taking all these pictures! We also grabbed the new communications director for L’Oreal Paris – Hugo Thibault to be in the photo with us:
Ok, phew – now I’m done!!!!! A HUGE thank you to Margaret of Cowan and Company for the invite and for making all this happen. And of course to Eddie Malter and Eric Del Monaco I hope to meet you both and be lucky enough to have you work your magic on me again 😉
