This up and down weather is driving me crazy. I’ve seen people deem it “springter” haha! But sadly I have to agree. C’mon spring hurry up and get here or we’ll skip you and go straight to summer!
mark. by Avon always has lovely and trendy colour products but their latest products in particular just scream spring! Alysia was kind enough to test them out. Check out her review below.

Color Swing – Mix It Up Eye Compact ($26)
This compact is a great concept – it has six shadows, three on each side that you can flip over. Since the brown/neutral shades are likely the colours that work well with everyone, I decided to test out the bright shades – blue, green and yellow. I, myself, would never wear these drastic colours but here is what it looked like:
There is a brush that comes with the compact and I used both ends to apply the eyeshadow. I am not used to using such a small brush so I found it difficult. I also found that the powder was very crumbly and fell onto my lashes and even on my cheeks. The powder didn’t apply smoothly and was difficult to blend.
Blooming Pretty – Highlighting Face Powder ($18)
As you can see in the photo above with my eye makeup, I used the highlighting powder on my cheeks. While the colour is a very pretty colour for Spring, I didn’t see much of the highlighting aspect of it. Maybe I was expecting a “J Lo glow” but I still think the colour gave a really nice natural blush to my cheeks.
Nail This Look Set (Sunsations & Seafoam) ($24 – comes with enamel ring)
While these two are great Spring colours, they are not the typical colours I would choose. I like the concept of mini bottles – because really, for trendy colours, you only need a small amount for the current season. I found that the green (Seafoam) was easy to apply and the yellow (Sunsation) was a tad runny so I had to let it dry longer between coats to avoid streaks.
Do any of these cheery spring mark colour products catch your eye?
