Yes, I know, I know it’s not May anymore, it’s June. At least I’m consistent with being late to post right?
Well better late than never! I received my very first Luxe Box from Loose Button last month (my June one should already be on its way). What is a Luxe Box do you ask? From the website:
Luxe Box is a new and exciting subscription service that delivers beauty products to you to try in the comfort of your own home.
Basically, you order a Luxe Box through a subscription and you will receive 3 to 5 “deluxe-sized” samples from participating brands. The deluxe-sized means that the samples are generally bigger than you would receive for free from the store which are only usually good for 1 or 2 uses. It’s a very intriguing concept that I wanted to try out. Currently Luxe Box is available only in Canada but according to the website they are working on offering the service to other countries. There are three different pricing packages available. See the “pricing” tab of the Loose Button website for more information.
So here is what I received:
As I mentioned before I’m a sucker for great packaging, I love the presentation of my Luxe Box.
Lovely – a personalized note!
Information about the products included
More lovely packaging
And TADA – the interior of the Luxe Box – from right to left:
….the hershey’s kiss didn’t last very long 😛
The colour I received was Midnight Mission. I don’t wear dark coloured polishes so I might have to give this one away to a friend.
This stuff is so interesting and unique. I’ll do another post on it soon (hopefully!)
I just started using this serum, so I’ll do a review after I’ve used it for at least a couple of weeks.
Overall I was really pleased with my May Luxe Box. When I ordered my Luxe Box I filled out a short beauty profile, but I think I would suggest to Loose Button that they add colour preferences for some items – for example, in my case I probably won’t get much use out of my nail polish and I have seen other ladies receive different colours which were more appealing to me.
Do I think the Luxe Box is worth it? Yes and no. I think for those that really love trying out new beauty and skin care products but (like most of us) can’t afford to buy everything out on the market then I think it’s an amazing idea. For those that stick with specific colours or who may have particular skin issues then I think this may not be for you since it’s a surprise as to what you will receive. I do really love that time was obviously taken in putting the Luxe Boxes together from the wrapping, the packaging and the information sheet. I was worried that a bunch of samples would just be thrown into a box!
I signed up for a 3-month subscription at a “founding members” price before the Luxe Box service was available to the public so I will wait and see how I like my next 2 Luxe Boxes before deciding whether or not to buy another subscription.
Has anyone else tried this service? I’d love to know what you think. If you haven’t tried it, is it something that would appeal to you? Why or why not – I love hearing your opinions!
