If you follow me on twitter you may have seen that I was really excited about a Moon Apparel pop up shop happening in Toronto in Liberty Village. Moon Apparel decided a pop up shop would be perfect to show off their new collection and launch their new online store.
Previously you could purchase Moon Apparel items from The Bay. Now I have to say I love ordering online from The Bay. Everything came super quick and nicely packaged. A really easy online store, free shipping (with a minimum purchase) and free returns to any store. Never mind that I also earned HBC points and cash back through Ebates with every purchase.
I was worried that I’d now have to pay for shipping with Moon and be worried about returns. But yay, free ship and free returns! Love it!
Here’s a look at some of the featured items from the pop up shop:
I tried on the mandarin jacket which I absolutely loved but it was slightly big on me in the shoulders and when I turned to the side it was a bit “tent-like”.
The lace dress was of course amazing. I have the previous version in navy that you can see in this post. This season’s dress is longer in length.
I tried on the bow dress and loved the fit of it but the material felt a bit scratchy and too warm for my liking.
The collarless blouse was beautiful but too long for me.
But of course I looooved this lace skirt! The waist in the XS was slightly big but the skirt fit my hips and everywhere else really well. On me the skirt fell just below the knees but looked great on with heels.
More lace pieces 😉 At the pop up shop shoppers received 20% off their purchase if they “liked” Moon Apparel on Facebook.
I know burgundy is THE colour for fall but I was in love with this rack of berry hues. Unfortunately all these pieces were one of kind and sample sizes only 🙁
Here is what I ended up purchasing:
Lace dress in turquoise, lace skirt in magenta and lace pleat skirt. (All XS).
(Haha, do you sense a theme? 😛 )
Overall I really loved the collection. There were some misses for me as with anything but overall I think it’s a collection that most people can wear. Many of the pieces can transition from the office to the evening or weekend which I think is really important for most of us.
So, is there anything on the site that has caught your eye?
As an aside…my camera broke 🙁 So at the moment I’m stuck with my phone to take pictures which means I’ll be lacking even further with the outfit posts and I must apologize if the quality of product photos isn’t as great. I hope I can either get it fixed or get a new camera soon!
