With mother’s day coming up this weekend, I asked members of the TBR team to share some of their mother’s day ideas! Whether you’re shopping for your own mom, mom in your life or mother figure, we hope we can inspire you to pamper that special mom in your life!
Alysia:
I would gift any mother, the gift of a pedicure. With summer hopefully around the corner, I am sure mothers of all types would appreciate to be pampered and get her toes ready for the sun. Why not treat her to a gift card from Her Majesty’s Pleasure? This spot not only has the coolest space for a pedicure (think Muskoka, right by the lake), your mom can also enjoy a glass of champagne, wine, beer or a cocktail while relaxing. If alcohol is not her thing, she can have a cup of coffee/tea or a delicious snack. Her Majesty’s Pleasure also provides other services that will suit any needs for a day of pampering. TBR contributors love this place and we are positive your mom will too!
Joanna:
Mothers give so much to us, it’s hard to find the perfect gift to give back. In my personal experience, my mom enjoys the sentimental or practical gifts. How about surprising her with a photobook from www.photobook.ca ? OK, yes it would have to be created and ordered a couple of weeks in advance so if you need a last minute gift right now…get a bunch of photos printed at your local print shop! Most of our pictures are all digital now (scary) so it is nice to have hard copies of them! Put them in a tasteful album and add cute captions or notes throughout!
Combine this sentimental gift with something that awakens the senses from L’Occitane En Provence. I love their little hand creams and lotions! If mom love a fresher scent, try out this citrusy collection.
Elaine:
I would pamper my mom with a Caudalie Grand facial and high tea package from the Miraj Hammam Spa in the Shangri-La Toronto. My mom isn’t really big on material gifts so I love when I’m able to treat her to something special and pamper her a bit! The Mother’s day package is available until May 31st with high tea on from 2 – 5pm.
