This past week, the incredibly generous ladies of Blush Pretty hosted one of their infamous ‘B.F.F’ events – ‘Beautiful Face Forum’ – for the Montreal based, bath product brand Dot & Lil. Presented by owner and designer Anne Dardick, us lucky invitees were presented with some of her tried and tested products, along with some upcoming sneak peeks.
Originally helmed by Anne and her sister over 5 years ago, the company was named after famous actresses Dorothy and Lillian Gish. Based out of Montreal, Canada, the products are available online, and in a few stores in the Ontario area. All products are hand-made, and use classic and clean scents that help brighten up anyone’s day. Originally, the company started by manufacturing lip glosses, and slowly expanded into the bath product market that they are in today.
What I love the most about these products are their perfect blend of modern flare and vintage feelings. Furthermore, all of Dot & Lil’s products are WATERLESS.
Shelving with some of Dot & Lil’s products |
New to this season are Dot & Lil’s Face Serums – the first ever facial product featured by Dot & Lil’s! Personally, I love this product – the scent is light and fresh, while the serum is extremely moisturizing (about three drops are enough for your entire face). Made exclusively with olive squalane, retinol rich rosehip seed oil, rich bran oil and almond oil, it’s richly infused with a bunch of beneficial vitamins. Look for it this upcoming season, retailing for $25.00.
Aren’t the blue bottles elegant? |
One of Dot & Lil’s signature products are their body butters – in particular, their satsuma body butter. This season, Dot & Lil introduces their Shea Sugar and Spice body butter – a perfect blend of Christmas-y scents that is perfectly tailored to the holiday season. The body butters are rich moisturizers and made out of over 80% shea butter. My favourite? The Satsuma blend, followed very closely by the Sugar and Spice aroma!
Aren’t the body butters the perfect size for your purse or desk? |
The current retail price of the body butters are $14.00, and there are scents ranging from lavender to satsuma.

Dot & Lil started their company with their lip glosses. All of their balms are handcrafted, with a shea butter balm that’s perfect for both lips and hands.

Currently, prices range from $6.00 – $8.00 for their lip balm line.
Cute professional photos adorn the tree |
Dot & Lil have a wide range of bath products available – from scrubbing soaps, to bath bombs, regular soaps, bath salts, and lotion bars. In fact, one of their most popular products are their Rice Flower soap (which I happened to purchase myself, and trust me, it smells divine!).

The ‘Apple for Teacher‘ soap is new to Dot & Lil’s line – incased in a clear packaging and infused with green tea and linden flower, it’s the perfect gift for any teacher this year. Currently, it’s retailed at $10.00, and it took a great amount of restraint to not walk out with a basket full!
An apple is imprinted within the soap! |
Dot & Lil have a range of soaps available – from limited edition to classic. The majority of the soaps start at a price of $7.00 and range from scents of orange, lemongrass and lavender to oatmeal, lilac and rosemary.
Range of some of their soaps, aren’t they pretty? |
The best thing about Dot & Lil is that the prices start at $5.00, and there is a gift for everyone on your list (Dot & Lil also have a men’s section that includes shaving soap). I really love how everything is personally handcrafted and the fact that all the products are WATER-FREE (I couldn’t believe it) was astounding. Check out her website for a full list of their products and where you can buy.
A big thanks to BlushPretty for hosting the event, and Anne for showcasing her fabulous products!
