butter London is one of those nail companies where you know the consistency and quality of the product is going to be stellar.
butter London’s new Spring 2013 collection is no different.
Inspiration for this collection was drawn from charming colours and silhouettes of the 50’s inspired ‘femme fatale’. The shades definitely are drawn from the ‘candy colours’ – they make you think of cotton candy, milkshakes, chocolate, ice cream – everything that you’d find in a 50’s malt shop!
The colours are so richly feminine. Perfectly suited for the upcoming Spring season, here’s your first look:
The colours are as follows:
- CUPPA: toasted opaque tan creme
- FRUIT MACHINE: opaque punchy carnation creme
- MOLLY CODDLED: opaque lavender orchid creme
- FIVER: opaque ice minty creme
- JASPER: opaque bright pastel yellow creme
- KERFUFFLE: opaque pink coral creme
I was lucky enough to try out Cuppa, Fiver and Kerfuffle. Here are some pics of the colours, and remember, I’m a nail newbie!

Kerfuffle is a beautiful peachy colour – I’m loving it for spring.
My favourite of the bunch is CUPPA – it’s the perfect neutral for any occasion. It was mute enough to be taken to the workplace, but sophisticated enough for a night on the town. The other colours were just as amazing, and definitely provide a pop of colour to any wardrobe.
Currently, the colours are available online here, and will be available in stores by mid-January.
