I’m a big sucker for pretty eye shadows. I’m not sure what it is about them but I love the sparkle of them and the way they change in the light. When I first opened these L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadows I was in love with how they looked in the package!

Gorgeous aren’t they?
Left: Permanent Kaki // Time Resist White // Forever Pink
Middle: Purple Obsession // Flashback Silver // Burning Black
Right: Hourglass Beige // Unlimited Sky // All Night Blue
Aren’t they all so pretty? I was so excited to swatch these and see for myself if all the reviews so far were true.
First off, the packaging is interesting. You actually have to flip the eye shadows over and twist the top off. And this is what you first see:
Remove that little plastic thing and you get to the good stuff!
Left: Permanent Kaki // Time Resist White // Forever Pink
Middle: Purple Obessession // Flashback Silver // Burning Black
Right: Hourglass Beige // Unlimited Sky // All Night Blue
Aren’t the colours just gorgeous?!? And here are the swatches:

I REALLY love the pigmentation of these colours and they go on so smoothly. They almost feel like a cream shadow going on but they are definitely a powder. The only colour I was a bit disappointed with with Burning Black – doesn’t it look more like a dark purple? There isn’t much shimmer in this one so this would be a good liner or good for the crease for a dramatic look.
When I had my make up done at the
L’Oreal Luminato Event some of these shades were used on me. L’Oreal was kind enough to send me the product that Eddie Malter used on me and one of those was the L’Oreal Infalliable Eyeshadow in Eternal Black:
There are 11 shades in total so I’m missing one: Endless Chocolate.
These long wear eyeshadows are supposed to be waterproof and last for 24 hours. I haven’t had a chance to REALLY test that out yet but hopefully I can do an update as well as post a few looks soon!
Here’s a quick look I did using Forever Pink on the base, Eternal black and the edges (and smoked out to the crease) and Hourglass Beige under my brows and at the inner corners of my eyes. I used a REALLY light touch as I was going to work so I didn’t want to go too dramatic and I also didn’t have a lot of time!

(the eye lashes are going a bit funky here – didn’t comb them out yet!)
In Canada they’re available at most mass market retailers (I’m sure it’s the same in the US) and retailing for $10.99 Canadian I think they’re a great deal for the richness and colour you get.
Have you tried these eye shadows out yet? Which colour is your favorite?
***Disclosure: Eye Shadows were provided courtesy of L’Oreal Canada for review consideration***
I would not have been convinced to get the black one but your eye makeup sure looks good so I’m going to check that out. Thank you for the post!
Very pretty…I haven’t tried these yet
oooh Sharon you should wear it! The hourglass beige is a great basic colour, it adds a touch of shimmer without being too “nighttime”.
These eye shadows would look really great on you! Anjali a fellow Toronto Beauty Blogger has darker skin and she wears them beautifully! http://www.rockthatlook.ca/2011/09/fotd-with-loreal-infallible-eye-shadow.html
You CAN wear them everyday! If you go overboard then it could be a bit to sparkly LOL – but some sparkle in the day is perfect
That’s actually one of my favorites too! I’ve been using on the base of my eyelids then adding darker colours on top.
Aren’t they so pretty?? I can’t wait to play around with them!
Hi, I received the hourglass beige shade as a gift when i went to the toronto fashion week last spring, and I opened it a while ago and forgot that it’s still in my makeup case. This post reminded me to check it out again. I’ve heard that they are really long lasting and you did an awesome job on your eyes. Thanks for the post
Love them but not much of a shadow person coz most of the colors dont show up coz of my complexion.
they look rich! how long did they last? sometimes I find eyeshadow falls?
But the colours look like I could wear them everyday and I think I may go out and try a shade or two!
OOOO such pretty colors. I know next to nothing about eyeshadows but really love the forever pink color. haha.
I agree! These do feel creamy when you touch them but apply like a regular powder. The shine and pigmentation of the eyeshadows is gorgeous!
Thanks for your comment! Yes that white is perfect for the inner corners and under the brow too!
Ha ha! I just happened to be checking out the blog roll and you popped up

Ohhh – love these shadows. I think my fave one is the the time resist white, great for applying to the inner corners of the eyes to make them open up. Thanks for reviewing these for us!
