First off, I have amazing news to share! I have been asked to be a Chatelaine Ambassador!
Like most girls out there I do love shoes. BUT unlike many of the girls I know in the Fashion industry I am not willing (at least anymore) to suffer for the sake of fashion. This puts in me in a real bind. As a blogger I attend many an event and of course I need to look more than presentable. I pretty much have my “go-to” pumps from Nine West – I have the EXACT same pair of pumps in 4 different colours and they have been serving me well! But…they are pretty classic and conservative and sometimes as we all know it’s really the shoes that make the outfit. (I have also worn them so often that the in soles they came with are coming out…probably time to replace them don’t you think?).
A few months back you may recall I picked up these gorgeous turquoise pumps by Kate Spade from hr2. I LOVE them. But I’ve only worn them a handful of times…you know why? I can only stand to be in them for about an hour. When you’re on the go like I am that’s not much time at all!
I was recently sent some products from Dr. Scholl’s and I WISH I had them earlier! My main issue with shoes is that I have a small heel and when I walk my heel tends to slip out. If I size down I can’t even stuff my foot into my shoes. The Dr. Scholl’s Rub Relief For Her Gel Spots ($10.99) are great to fill in that little gap at the heel that I always have. They also made standing around (which let’s face it…is what usually happens at these events) much more comfortable as I can place them in the spots where my shoes tend to rub at my feet.
I also attended a gala and a couple of weddings this summer. The Open Shoe insoles ($12.99) are perfect for the open toed shoe season – these super thin but the comfy insoles target the balls of the feet and the heels providing extra “cushiony” comfort. I picked up these sequined beauties from Nine West on a whim and I’m sure I can get a lot of use out of them especially with the extra comfort of the in soles.
For more casual heels and sandals I like the Sole Expressions insoles ($16.99 for a pack of 3) – they have fun patterns on them and are great for running those errands or those casual strolls around town. These are the flats I lived in ALL SUMMER long.
