You probably remember the giveaway I hosted on behalf of Clarisonic Canada – it was a VERY popular giveaway 😉
Well I was given a Mia2 to test out but I decided to something a bit different. I actually have a Clarisonic brush but had packed it away when I moved. Then I started having skin issues and had many open blemishes so was a bit scared to use the brush. Instead I thought I would give the brush to my friend Lesley of Petite Pear Style who always posts such amazing and informative review videos since there is so much to say about this beauty tool.
Check out Lesley’s video and I will highlight some points of her review below.
The Mia 2 is branded as a travel brush and retails for $175 Canadian. The colour of the one Lesley is reviewing is “Emerald Green” and is limited edition so I’m not sure if it’s available anymore. As I’ve mentioned the Clarisonic brushes clean skin 6 times better than regular manual cleaning and I love how Lesley puts it – it’s an electric toothbrush but for your face! In fact, I recently learned that the inventor of the sonicare toothbrush also had a hand in the creation of the Clarisonic.
The Mia 2 comes standard with the sensitive brush head but fits all the brushes made for the face. It also comes with a charger, travel size gel cleanser and a travel case. There are also 2 speeds on the Mia 2. Since it is completely waterproof there is no charging port on the brush, instead the charger is actually magnetic and when the brush touches the charger it gets charged. I thought that was REALLY cool!
If you follow Lesley’s blog you’ll know that she prefers a cleanser with exfoliating beads and she has a several cleansers that she doesn’t use because this feature is absent. But now she can use those cleansers with her Clarisonic!
Overall after using the brush for 2 weeks once a day Lesley really likes the brush and will continue to use it. I love that it’s travel friendly which is great as I know she has a few trips coming up this year 🙂
Thank you again to Lesley for the AMAZING review! Catch more of her great videos on her youtube channel. If you don’t already follow her blog Petite Pear Style you really need to for great videos and thorough reviews especially on beauty box subscriptions. I also love her “empties” posts – she’s really great at using everything she buys and receive until it’s finished…something I really need to get better at 😉
Would you consider picking up one of the Clarisonic brushes, or if you have one what do you love most about it?
