{Review: Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe}
In the middle of this Winter season, with at least a few more weeks of Winter here in Toronto, it’s difficult to find any natural colour on your face. Around this time of year women find their faces most pale. Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe ($53) is a flirty way to add some colour to those pale winter cheeks. Valentines Day is the perfect way to play with some colour on your cheeks, and find someone to add that extra bit of flush.
The limited edition blush wardrobe includes 6 shades ranging from a subtle almost nude Love Hangover, to a bolder deep flush Your Love is King shade. There are a couple of coral shades in the wardrobe as well, making makeup selection easy to coordinate with your OOTD.
I recently watched the movie ‘Sisters’ with my sister, and by the end of the movie my cheeks were hurting so much from all the laughing. Adding to the colour of my cheeks that night I chose subtle shade such as Love Hangover mixed with the bright and rosy shade How Deep is Your Love on the apples of my cheeks. The combination of these two shades is just right for a casual date out with the sister or bestie.
At work during the week, I wore a dress with a subtle coral floral print, as pictured. I loved that there was a shade of coral perfect to highlight the orange colour in my dress. The colour applied as a natural glow, which was quite unexpected with how orange the colour appeared in the palette. What was most surprising, is the colour wore well all day, and was still as bold as the morning application when it was time to transition my dress to an after work Friday night date with the hubs.
If a night in is more your style with your valentine, the subtle shade Baby Love with the bold pink Justify my Love work together to make a day at work followed by a Netflix and chill night in the perfect Friday night date. I can see this shade working well with a LBD for a girls night out as well, as it can be worn as a bolder shade with another layer for a deeper shade.
The versatility of the blushes was probably my favorite thing about this palette. The blushes are long-wearing, and the colour remained fade-proof lasting all through the day. I usually wear brighter shades of blush to highlight the tone of my skin. With this set, I was pleasantly surprised that even the more subtle shades were able to add colour to my skin tone, and add highlights to my cheeks and hairline. Too often I see women with blush on too large an area of their face, but since this blush is almost creamy in application, it was easy to define exactly where I wanted to apply it, leaving no mess or blush in unwanted areas on my cheeks.
As with most Too Faced products, the quality is outstanding and of course the packaging is too cute to pass up. 🙂
Whether your plans for this Valentines day include bringing out the wilder side in you with a vibrant coral cheek, a pink rosy flirty hue, a deep loving flush, or a natural happy glow – The Too Faced Love Flush Blush wardrobe has the shade you are looking for.
