Have you ever tried a product and instantly knew it was going to be one of your all-time favourites?
I had that feeling the instant I tried Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains!
I was so skeptical at first. Anything with the word ‘stain’ in it makes me worry – what would happen if I messed up? How would I get the so called ‘stain’ out? What if the colour was TOO pigmented? All these worries were cast aside the second I tried the product though. Absolutely amazing!
I thought I’d showcase my two favourite colours for this Tried & True review: Honey and Cherish.
Price: $8.99 – $12.99 (CAN) – depending on your retailer

What It Claims: “…pampering balm fused with a lightweight lip stain; gives smoother, softer lips with a perfect flush of colour that lasts hour after hour…”
Review: I’ve traded in my favourite nude lip colours for lovely flushes of pink! I’m absolutely in love with these balms – and thank the lord, they are more balms than they are stains!

The colours come in this chubby crayon that requires no sharpening. As much as I love the balms, I love the packaging just as much. The tapered edge makes it incredibly easy to apply the colour, and the chubby packaging makes it easy to handle.

Honey and Cherish happen to be my favourite colours of the bunch. Cherish is bright pink in nature – almost fuchsia, but not as drastic. Honey is a darker, more neutral pink that has hints of nude colouring behind it.

In terms of longevity, they do indeed last for ‘hours and hours’ as claimed. I find that the only time I really need to reapply is after a meal (which tends to be natural). I found myself not even worrying about my lips during the day, and the constant need to reapply! Luckily, the balms are also incredibly moisturizing, which is amazing based on the longevity of the colour. You won’t have to worry about applying a different lip balm on top of the stains.
Fun fact – the balms are minty smelling in nature! Definitely different.
Verdict: My favourite new colours! I’ve been wearing Honey almost daily and I find it brightens up my face, especially in these dull winter months.
