I never thought I’d be a colour pants girl – in fact I only own one pair of coloured jeans which I don’t wear very often. But I can’t seem to get enough of my red and pink pants from the Gap.

So as someone pointed out on Facebook when I wore my pink pants they wished these were a cropped pants…they are…I’m just short and these didn’t come in petites!

I’ve been a fan of Aime Luxury pieces for a while. Designer Monica Mei based in Toronto has an amazing collection of unique pieces that I am just in love with. I visited her Yorkville studio during Fashions Night Out.

Unfortunately at full price my wallet can’t handle the cost so I was really happy when The Peacock Parade had a sale on last season’s pieces.
The Alexa Jacket is made of silk tweed with a sheer silk panel on the back and the sleeves. I got it in an XS and admittedly it’s a too big on me but it’s a looser fit blazer so the fit is forgiving and I’m ok with it. It’s such a statement piece on its own + it’s really comfortable to wear – it’s become one of my favourite pieces!
What are your thoughts on coloured pants – still love them? What about a statement piece like a blazer? Would you invest in a piece like this?
